Seoul & Jeju Day 6: Jeongbang falls, Yakcheongsa Temple, Jusangjeollidae Cliff, Mysterious Road, Love Land, Check in W Hotel

Day 6
Jeongbang falls > Yakcheongsa Temple > Jusangjeollidae Cliff > Mysterious Road > Love Land > Check in W Hotel

We have a morning to spend at Jeju-du and we will be heading to Jeju-si in noon.

Unwillingly we packed our stuff and said goodbye to the owner of Dreaming Forest Pension. Ann's mother came out from her house and gave us a big hug, and asked us to come often. Haha... Such a sweet lady! We will be back. *promise*

Last picture taken at Dreaming Forest.

Drop-by Jeongbang falls before leaving Seogwipo. The view of the waterfall was great. However not impressive as we have many great waterfalls in Malaysia. You can get closer to the waterfall by walking through the rocky area from the staircase. Make sure you are wearing proper footwear!

Shoes we brought from Seoul. Very comfortable.

Yakcheongsa temple which located at the east of Jungmun is also worth a visit. Surrounded by tourist spots, it is a great place to stop for a few pictures and a quiet respite.

The 4-storey main prayer hall claimed to be the Asia's largest.

The whole area is well taken care of and the colors are beautiful! We got to know that Yakcheongsa is opened for temple stay every first and third weekend. Another option to consider if we are back in Jeju next time.

Jusangjeollidae cliff is formed as a result of lava flows from an active volcano. The rock formation is rectangular in shape and stand on top of each other like giant stairs. It was also impressive to see the waves hitting on the rocky pillars.

Worth taking a walk around the park in this area... There is a dolharubangs area which is great for photos too.

We have our lunch at a restaurant near Jusangjeollidae cliff. The food was awesome! Sorry we didn't take much pictures because we were busy eating... ;P

The seaweed soup with sea urchin was superb!

After a great lunch, we continued our road trip to Jeju-si. There were a few interesting encounters along the journey.

Wheee!~ We pass by a road full of cherry blossom in full bloom!!!!!! God must be too frustrated hearing our prayers everyday...  We parked our car on the side and immersed ourselves in the soothing ambience, with colorful cherry blossom all around us*happy happy*

So pretty that I felt like I can stay here forever and ever...

We drove along Road 1100 (also known as 1139) and spotted a cute toilet by the roadside!~  You can also find Eorimok, Yeongshil and the Mysterious Road along this road.

The 1110 Road, links Jeju City and Jungmun and passes the 1100 altitude resting place on Mt. Halla, the highest road in South Korea. We encountered heavy fog on our way to 1100 resting place and it was kind of scary!! Never in our life we drove in such a foggy condition. A reminder to drive carefully.

1100 Rest Area is the highest point you can travel by car on Jeju Island. If you do not have the time to hike up Mt Hallasan, then 1100 altitude resting place could be a good compromise.

And these were what exactly made our self-drive trip so fulfilling! :)

We arrived at Mysterious Road after a close to one hour drive. Many cars slowed down to check out this popular tourist attraction. It was basically an optical illusion experience. Our car was able to go uphill with free gear. Kinda strange as we should be rolling backwards. :)

Love land, a sex sculpture park on Jeju Island, is just in close proximity of Mysterious Road. This theme park is not the main attraction in Jeju, but it is fun visiting... Laughterss all around the place.

Loveland features more than 140 statues and erotic exhibitions that graphically depict all sorts of sexual positions.

Check out their toilet handles!

Spotted a stall selling "exotic food"!

Nah... red bean pancake

It was already 4.30pm when we checked into W Hotel at Jeju-si (Jeju city). It was located at a very good location, near to black pork street and seafood market. We were spoilt with choices for good food... The room was spacious. But it gets cold at night. *no heater*

Across the road, there was a lighthouse. More picturesss!~ Snap snap~

Jeff said I look like sotong in this picture

We wandered along the black pork street and finally chosen this restaurant as our last meal place in Jeju. The dinner turned out to be exceptionally good!

Black Pork is probably Jeju Island’s most famous dish. The meat is chewier, more flavorful and juicier compared to normal pork. Highly recommended!

We then realized that this is a michelin two star restaurant! Good choice Jeff!!!

We will back in Seoul tomorrow. :)
